It seems anglers that take salmon fishing adventures in Alaska are mostly interested in landing king salmon, also called Chinook, which are the largest of the varieties of Pacific salmon.

If you are interested in these trophy fish, be sure to book your fishing adventure at Clover Pass during May or June, when their migration through the waters of Alaska’s inside passages peaks.

In addition to king salmon, you can also try your hand at landing other varieties of salmon, such as pink and silver, which peak later on. While on fishing excursions at Clover Pass, you can also fish for halibut, sea bass, red snapper, and cod.
